No two homes are the same
Interested in the craft of building, not the business of it.
Building a home is one of the largest investments you'll make. We take your style, tastes, passions and needs into account, because these are the spaces where Thanksgiving dinners are shared, grandchildren play, hobbies are enjoyed, friendships grow and countless memories are made.
Your family matters, so our quality matters.
What we build
Every home, custom.
Since each home is custom built, there's no list of "standard features." Here's how we can help.
Remodels & Additions
Outgrowing your space? Interior remodeling, finishing and home additions that fit how you live now.
Restoration
Renewing and restoring existing homes with the same care we put into new ones.
Custom Built-ins
Bookshelves, wine racks, antiqued cabinetry and fireplace surrounds, built for the room.
Basement Build-outs
Turn the lower level into living space: bars, family rooms, guest suites.
Light Commercial
The same attention to detail, applied to small commercial projects.
Recent projects

What they have to say.
We selected J. Thompson Builders to build our home and we couldn't be happier. They were with us throughout the entire process and were always very respectful and attentive to our needs. I have recommended them to colleagues and friends who have gone on to use them with the same satisfaction.
Marty McDermott
J. Thompson Builders gave a realistic estimate, great counseling for the decision-making process, and quality timely work. The second time I used them for a house remodel and have been pleased both times. Would recommend them to friends and family.
